WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE – ODOTEI

The Chief Executive of King Faisal Football Club, Vincent Odotei says the club made the right decision in appointing Serbian Dragan Popadic as the club’s new head coach. Odotei told footyghana.com that the 56 year old coach has been given a three and a half year contract, adding that the need for stability informed the club’s decision to give that length of contract. He said, ‘Popadic has a rich track record of being in charge of Rwanda at a point and winning titles in Tanzania among others. So we believe that he is the right man for us. Stability is important and that is why we have signed him on a three and a half year deal.’ Popadic, who takes his first training session with King Faisal today, watched the team yesterday as they beat New Edubiase United 1-0 in a friendly match. He was originally set to coach former champions Hearts of Oak but wage demands scuppered that move.
