BOGDAN KORAK SPEAKS OUT

Asante Kotoko head coach Bogdan Korak has been sharing his thoughts on a number of issues. Speaking through his wife on social networking site Facebook, he says, ‘To be loved or hated is quite normal. Coaches are usually hated by those players who do not currently play. So why would anybody else “hate” the coach who is trying to achieve the best results by his own choice of players, and not by someone`s else choice. I cannot imagine why, but it happens...’ He also says that he works as part of a team, citing discipline and hard work as key attributes for any team. ‘When one despises discipline, hard work and sweat, and when one`s mean interests are the only thing that counts, neither one can help nor the same one can be helped - just on the contrary. There is no coach on earth who can be good enough dealing with inherited spoiled and egoistic habits of any team he is coaching. Because the word Team does not include one person, I never win the game alone, I win with my Team. That is to say: I never lose alone too. There is always someone who "helps" in one way or another.’ In reaction to the footyghana.com story published earlier today with the caption “Bogdan Korak’s Kotoko future uncertain, this was his reaction on Facebook”, ‘If one club is looking for another, better and more almighty coach too often, there is something wrong with that club, the coach is only an excuse for some deeper problems, don`t you think?  The Coach is just a cherry on the cake who makes sure that the cake does not fall apart.’ He further explains why he withdrew midfielder David Offei during Kotoko’s friendly with Wa All Stars, ‘ About the player you`ve mentioned, I know only that he was pretending to be deaf and blind to my advices before or during the match. Anyway we won that game...winning result is the only thing that counts, or it is not the case if they win without someone who is considered to be important? In friendly matches like yesterday, coaches must try many options to achieve good results when championship starts.’ He however offered no explanation on the reported bust up with assistant Prince ‘Sabuto’ Acheampong.
