BOGDAN KORAK’S KOTOKO FUTURE UNCERTAIN

Footyghana.com understands that the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is considering terminating the appointment of Serbian coach Bogdan Korak. This, according to our sources, is a result of a conflict of sorts between Korak and assistant coach Prince ‘Sabuto’ Acheampong during Kotoko’s friendly game against Wa All Stars yesterday. Korak drove Acheampong away from the club’s technical bench 8 minutes before half time and our sources say this is because Korak had issues with the red card given to Prince Anokye in the 35th minute and had wanted to stop the match. He therefore asked Acheampong to call members of management to inform them that he wanted the match stopped. Acheampong reportedly called a management member on the phone to explain to him and that was when Korak ordered him off the bench. In the second half, the Serbian coach also withdrew winger David Offei from the action for not playing well and that effectively left Kotoko playing 9 against 11. Kotoko eventually won the match 1-0 and soon after, some angry supporters attempted to rush on Korak but fortunately nothing happened. Footyghana.com sources further reveal that Korak went to Acheampong’s house to apologise but met the assistant coach’s absence, in addition to the fact that the club’s management are beginning to lose patience with the Serbian. A management meeting will be held early this week to determine Korak’s fate, but our investigations reveal that some of the management members would like to see him go because according to them, this is not the first time Korak has displayed what they term as inappropriate behavior. Maxwell Konadu and Abubakari Yusif remain linked with Kotoko’s top job, should the management decide to dispense with Korak’s services
