Former Black Stars winger Yaw Preko has spoke of his delight at being appointed the assistant coach of Ghana’s Under 20 National team, the Black Satellites. Preko, who played at every level for the various national teams, told footyghana.com that the appointment is a dream come true, adding that this is an opportunity for him to help the reigning African and World Youth Champions. He noted that the team’s head coach Orlando Wellington had done an excellent job preparing the team for the African title defence in Libya next month. Preko also commended the Ghana Football Association for incorporating former national stars like himself into the national coaching set up, citing the appointment of former national teammates Maxwell Konadu and Joe Baah as the assistant coach and goalkeepers trainer respectively of Ghana’s Olympic team, the Black Meteors.
