GHANAIANS ABROAD 25-27 FEBRUARY 2011

ENGLAND

In the Premier League, Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah played the full match as Sunderland lost 2-0 to Everton. Sulley Muntari was replaced by Steed Malbranque in the 77th minute for Sunderland.

Richard Kingston played the full match in goal as Blackpool were thrashed 4-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

John Paintsil was not part of the Fulham squad that drew 1-1 with Manchester City.

SCOTLAND

In the Scottish Premier League, Prince Buaben was booked in the 51st minute and replaced by Danny Swanson in the 53rd minute as Dundee United drew 1-1 with Hamilton Academical.

Francis Dickoh played the full match as Hibernian beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0.

SPAIN

In the La Liga, Jeffrey Sarpong replaced Xabi Prieto in the 73rd minute as Real Sociedad was thrashed 4-1 by Espanyol.

Derek Boateng was an unused substitute as Getafe drew 0-0 with Hercules.

Mubarak Wakaso replaced Jose Manuel Catala in the 80th minute as Villareal drew 2-2 with Racing Santander.

Quincy Owusu Abeyie’s Malaga will face Almeria on Monday night.

In the Serie A, Stephen Appiah was not part of the Cesena squad that beat Chievo 1-0.

Kwadwo Asamoah played the full match as Udinese thrashed Palermo 7-0. Emmanuel Agyemang Badu was not part of the Udinese squad whilst Afriyie Acquah replaced Javier Pastore in the 63rd minute for Palermo.

Kevin Prince Boateng’s AC Milan will face Napoli on Monday night.

In Serie B, Isaac Cofie played the full match as Piacenza drew 0-0 with Padova.

GERMANY

In the Bundesliga, Isaac Vorsah missed Hoffenheim’s 2-1 home loss to Mainz due to injury.

Charles Takyi was replaced by Deniz Naki in the 68th minute as St Pauli lost 1-0 at home to Hannover 96.

Anthony Annan played the full match as Schalke 04 drew 1-1 with Nuremberg. Hans Adu Sarpei was not part of Schalke 04’s squad.

Moussa Narry was an unused substitute as Le Mans drew 1-1 with Sedan.

NETHERLANDS

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Kwame Quansah was replaced by Ben Rienstra in the 86th minute as Heracles thrashed Vitesse Arnhem 6-1.

Eric Addo was an unused substitute as Roda JC drew 1-1 with De Graafschap.
