SETH OWUSU ON TRIALS IN HOLLAND - MEDEAMA PRO

The Public Relations Officer for Medeama Sporting Club, Tony Nkrumah Boateng says that left back Seth Owusu is currently undergoing trials in the Netherlands with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, but remains a player of the Tarkwa-based club. Tony told footyghana.com that Owusu arrived in Amsterdam only three days before the January transfer window closed, adding that Ajax were not sufficiently convinced to sign him before transfer deadline day. He revealed that the Dutch giants will monitor him through arranged trials and if he impresses, Ajax could offer him a pre-contract. He says, ‘At the moment, Seth is undergoing further trials with Ajax who want to monitor him further and if he impresses enough, then he could sign for them in July.’ Tony also told footyghana.com that Owusu was close to signing for French champions Marseille but noted that Marseille’s offer for the left back was derisory. ‘He impressed Marseille and they wanted him there, but what they offered was disgraceful, not even up to GH¢100,000.’ Tony says that should the Ajax move fail to materialize, clubs in Norway are monitoring the player, but according to him, Owusu will return to play for Medeama until the season is over.
