MTN FA CUP ROUND UP: ASHGOLD KNOCKED OUT, HEARTS THROUGH

Former champions Hearts of Oak this afternoon beat first division outfit Pure Joy 2-0 to qualify for the MTN FA Cup Round of 32. A brace by Ghana youth striker Mahatma Otoo won the game for Hearts, who had Theophilus Apoh sent off for violent conduct. Liberty Professionals beat former Premier League side Tano Bofoakwa 2-1 to progress whilst in the only all-Premier League tie of the day, Berekum Chelsea, who has most of its key players away on international duty with Ghana in Sudan, beat Ashanti Gold 1-0 to progress whilst Deportivo FC thrashed Sharks FC 4-1 in Kumasi. King Solomon will take on Mighty Jets in Tema tomorrow whilst the Dwarfs v Aduana Stars tie has been postponed. The Round of 32 Live Draw will be done on Friday, February 11.
