MTN FA CUP ROUND UP: KING FAISAL KNOCKED OUT; NEW EDUBIASE, MIRREN ROLL ON

Premier League campaigners King Faisal were knocked out of the MTN FA Cup by first division side Mine Stars. After a goalless 90 minutes, Mine Stars triumphed 3-2 on penalties to mark the first real shock result of the MTN FA Cup. A goal by Alex Anim after 25 seconds helped Sporting Mirren to a 1-0 win over Metro Stars, whilst a second half strike by Basit Adam gave New Edubiase United a 1-0 win over Inter Allies. The final Round of 64 matches will take place this coming weekend and they include tasty match ups like the Chelsea v Ashanti Gold clash in Berekum plus the Hearts of Oak v Pure Joy match up in Accra.
