GHANAIANS ABROAD 7-9 MARCH 2011

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Hans Adu Sarpei replaced Peer Kluge in the 81st minute as Schalke 04 beat Valencia 3-1 to qualify for the quarterfinals on a 4-2 aggregate.

Kevin Prince Boateng was replaced by Alexander Merkel in the 76th minute as AC Milan drew 0-0 with Tottenham Hotspurs, who have qualified for the quarterfinal on a 1-0 aggregate.

ENGLAND

In the Premiership, Michael Essien played the entire match as Chelsea beat Blackpool 3-1. Richard Kingston was replaced by Mark Halstead in the 66th minute for Blackpool due to injury.

SCOTLAND

In the Scottish Premier League, Prince Buaben played the full match as Dundee United defeated Aberdeen 3-1.

ISRAEL

In the Ligat Al, Sam Yeboah scored in the 72nd minute, booked in the 76th minute and replaced by Moshe Mishaelof in the 88th minute as Beitar Jerusalem beat Hapoel Tel Aviv 1-0.

In the Liga Leumit, Kwabena Agouda was replaced by Mohammed Abedalkader in the 72nd minute as Hapoel Bnei Lod drew 0-0 with Hakoah Ramat Gan.

Eric Nyarko played the full match as Hapoel Ra’anana lost 1-0 to Hapoel Nazareth Illit.

SERBIA

In the Meridijan Superliga, Lee Addy played the full match as Red Star Belgrade beat Indija 3-1. Mohammed Awal Issah, who received a booking, was replaced in the 90th minute by Srdan Mijailovic for Red Star Belgrade.

Prince Tagoe scored in the 7th minute and was replaced in the 70th minute by Marko Scepovic as Partizan Belgrade thrashed Hadjuk Kula 4-0. Dominic Adiyiah was replaced by Ivica Iliev at half time for Partizan Belgrade.

Yaw Antwi replaced Georgi Merebashvili in the 78th minute as Vojvodina Novi Sad beat BSK Borca 2-1.

Francis Bossman was booked in the 56th minute and played the full match as Sevojno lost 1-0 to OFK Beograd.

SPAIN

In the La Liga, Jeffrey Sarpong replaced Diego Rivas in the 62nd minute as Real Sociedad lost 2-1 to Deportivo la Coruna.
