GHANAIANS ABROAD 11-13 MARCH 2011

SCOTLAND

In the Scottish Cup quarterfinal, Prince Buaben played the entire match as Dundee United drew 2-2 with Motherwell to set up a replay.

SPAIN

In the La Liga, Jeffrey Sarpong replaced David Zurutuza in the 66th minute as Real Sociedad lost 2-0 at home to Malaga. Quincy Owusu Abeyie replaced Sebastian Fernandez in the 84th minute for Malaga.

Mubarak Wakaso replaced Cani in the 59th minute as Villareal drew 1-1 with Sporting Gijon.

In the Segunda, Jonathan Mensah was not part of the Granada squad that drew 1-1 with Rayo Vallencano.


FRANCE

In Ligue 1, Andre Ayew helped create Loic Remy’s goal in the 24th minute and played the full match as Marseille beat Rennes 2-0. Andre’s younger brother Jordan replaced Andre Pierre Gignac in the 71st minute and created Lucho Gonzalez’s goal in the 80th minute for Marseille. John Boye was an unused substitute for Rennes.

In Ligue 2, Rabiu Mohammed was not part of the Evian Thonon Gaillard squad that drew 1-1 with Clermont.

ITALY

In the Serie A, Stephen Appiah was an unused substitute as Cesena drew 2-2 with Juventus.

Kevin Prince Boateng was rested as AC Milan drew 1-1 with Bari.

Kwadwo Asamoah played the full match as Udinese thrashed Cagliari 4-0. Emmanuel Agyemang Badu was an unused substitute for Udinese.

Afriyie Acquah was an unused substitute as Palermo lost 1-0 to Genoa. Richmond Boakye Yiadom was not part of Genoa’s match day squad.

In Serie B, Isaac Cofie scored in the 84th minute and played the full match as Piacenza beat Crotone 2-0.

Ahmed Barusso played the full match as Livorno beat Torino 2-0.

Charles Takyi was booked in the 31st minute and replaced by Deniz Naki in the 73rd minute as St Pauli lost 2-1 at home to Stuttgart.

In 2.Bundesliga, Godfred Aduobe played the full match as Karlsruhe beat Duisburg 3-1.

Marcel Appiah played the full match as Arminia Bielefeld lost 3-0 at home to 1860 Munich.

Kolja Afriyie was an unused substitute as Energie Cottbus beat Osnabruck 2-0.

NETHERLANDS

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Nana Akwasi Asare was not part of the Utrecht squad that beat Groningen 1-0.

Kwame Quansah scored in the 50th minute and played the full match as Heracles thrashed Excelsior 4-1.

Eric Addo was an unused substitute as Roda JC lost 2-1 at home to AZ Alkmaar.

Matthew Amoah played the full match as NAC Breda lost 2-1 to Feyernoord.

In the Eerste Divisie, Gideon Boateng was an unused substitute as MVV beat RBC 2-0.

Mitch Apau was replaced by Milo Malenovic in the 78th minute as Veendam beat Emmen 1-0.



BELGIUM

In the Pro League, William Acheampong replaced Lukas Van Eeno in the 70th minute as Cercle Brugge lost 1-0 to Gent.

Abdul Yakinu Iddi was booked in the 40th minute and replaced in the 49th minute by Kevin Geudens as Mechelen drew 1-1 with Germinal Beerschot.

Daniel Opare played the full match as Standard Liege won 2-0 at Charleroi. Abraham Kudemor played the full match for Charleroi.

Rahim Ayew was replaced by Mohammed El-Gabbas in the 28th minute as Lierse drew 1-1 with Lokeren. Akwetey Mensah replaced Mohammed Abdel Wahed in the 73rd minute for Lierse.

In the Super Liga, Enoch Kofi Adu played the full match as Nordsjaelland drew 2-2 with Midtjylland.

Issah Ahmed replaced Anders Egholm in the 43rd minute as Randers won 3-1 at Esbjerg.

GREECE

In the Super League, Bernard Yao Kumordji was replaced in the 73rd minute by Bosko Balaban as Panionios drew 3-3 with Larissa. Mohammed Abubakari was replaced in the 64th minute by Fabian Cannobio for Larissa.

ISRAEL

In the Ligat Al, Sam Yeboah played the full game as Beitar Jerusalem drew 0-0 with Hapoel Ramat Gan. 
Samad Awudu Okocha replaced Liron Diamant in the 67th minute for Hapoel Ramat Gan.

Neither Stephen Ahorlu nor Eric Gawu was part of the Hapoel Ashkelon squad that lost 4-3 at home to Hapoel Be’er Sheva, who also had James Bissue and Abraham Basit missing from its match day squad.

Former Kessben defender Daniel Addo played the full match as Hapoel Petah Tikva beat Ashdod 3-1.

In the Ligat Leumit (second tier), William Owusu was replaced in the 18th minute by Yosef Asayag as Sektzia Nes Tziona lost 2-1 to Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.



PORTUGAL

In the Primeira Liga, Ishmael Yartey was replaced in the 65th minute by Wang Gang as Beira Mar beat Pacos De Ferreira 3-1.

David Addy played the full match as Academica drew 1-1 with Nacional.

SERBIA

In the Meridijan Super Liga, neither Lee Addy nor Mohammed Awal Issah was part of the Red Star Belgrade squad that won 2-0 at Jagodina.

Prince Tagoe scored in the 56th minute and played the full game as Partizan Belgrade beat OFK Beograd 2-1. Dominic Adiyiah did not play in this game.

SWITZERLAND

In the Super League, Mark Edusei replaced Alessandro Mangiaratti at half time as Bellinzona were thrashed 4-0 at home by Basel.

UKRAINE

In the Premier League, former King Faisal defender Daniel Addo was an unused substitute as Zorya drew 2-2 with Illychivets.

Samuel Inkoom was booked in the 31st minute and played the entire match as Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk drew 2-2 with Metalist.

VIETNAM

In the V League, Edmund Owusu Ansah played the full match as Song Lam Nghe An beat Da Nang 1-0.

Mustapha Essuman scored in the 30th minute and was replaced in the 70th minute by Martin Trindade as Khanh Hoa lost 2-1 to Nb Sai Gon. Issifu Ansah played the full game for Khanh Hoa.
