FA Cup record holders Accra Hearts of Oak this afternoon crashed out of the MTN FA Cup after losing 6-5 on penalties to Berekum Arsenal after a 2-2 draw. Eric Asiedu’s opener for Arsenal was cancelled out by a superb curler from Abraham Annan before half time. Ernest Obeng restored Arsenal’s lead before Hearts captain Karim Alhassan equalized. In the penalty shootout, the first five kicks were converted by each team before Yakubu Seidu missed his penalty for Hearts of Oak. Kofi Agyare then converted the deciding penalty to send Arsenal through to the Round of 16. Eleven Wise also made it through after beating Tarkwa United 9-8 on penalties after a 1-1 drawn game. Wa All Stars continued their good cup run with a 1-0 win over Juventus, whilst First division outfit Nania FC won 1-0 at Kintampo Zamalek.
